INFANTS
A loving caregiver and a dependable routine are a baby’s “curriculum”. What they experience about the world around them is what they mirror as they grow. That’s why our caregivers use routine activities such as diapering, feeding and cleaning up as opportunities to talk to our babies about what we’re doing and to interact with them in a gentle, nurturing way. At the same time, we listen, imitate, and respond to the sounds our babies make, respecting these as the beginning of communication.

Toddlers
At our school, we provide many individualized opportunities for your child to learn through personal experience, trial and error, repetition, imitation and identification. We encourage language development by talking with the children and by naming objects; describing events, reflecting feelings and helping children find the words to express themselves. By helping children learn to feed themselves, solve problems, make choices and develop toileting skills, we encourage our toddlers’ growing independence and mastery.

Preschoolers
Our curriculum focuses on all areas of development: We enhance social skills by helping children feel comfortable in the school environment, make friends and experience positive events within a group. We support the development of emotional skills by giving our children plenty of opportunities to experience pride and self-confidence, develop independence and self-control, and a positive attitude towards life. In respect to cognitive skills, our goal is to help children acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions and use words to describe their ideas, observations and feelings. In respect to physical development, we help our children to increase their large and small muscle skills and encourage them to feel confident about what their bodies can do.
